Full Time Instructor

Tower School seeks a full-time Instructor in Music for a position opening in August, 2010.  Qualified candidates will have an interest in teaching music in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 8 with a particular concentration teaching Kodaly and Conversational Solfege to the early grades.  Candidates should have experience teaching music and should have proficiency in one or more musical instrument.  As well, candidates should demonstrate an interest in participating fully in the life and activities of an energetic elementary day school.  A willingness to coach athletic teams and/or lead other extracurricular activities is preferred.  Candidates must have the ability to multi-task, be flexible, organized, and have good interpersonal skills.  A bachelor’s degree is required.  Please send resumes to Deborah Strainge, Head of Lower School, Tower School, 75 West Shore Drive, Marblehead, MA 01945 or e-mail dstrainge@towerschool.org

Danbury

The Danbury Music Centre announces a vacancy for the salaried position of Music Director/Conductor of the Danbury Concert Chorus.  Highly qualified, experienced choral conductors may call or email the Danbury Music Centre for additional information.

 

The Danbury Concert Chorus is a large, mixed voice, non-auditioned ensemble of adult singers rehearsing and performing classical, contemporary and other diversified works.  The chorus rehearses weekly on Tuesdays from September through May and performs three times a year including an annual Messiah.
